Sacred Words
this month’s wisdom quote
“There is a current of love-energy that flows
Between Earth below and Sun above.
The central channel of your spine is the riverbed.
The streaming is as delicate and powerful
As the tingling touch of lovers.
Entering here,
Radiance arches between above and below.
Your whole attention resting in the subtle,
Vibrating in the center of the spinal column,
Tracing this current between Earth and Sun,
Become magnetism relating all the worlds.”
From the Radiance Sutras
I find this to be true for myself, as I get to love my counseling clients and my yoga students. I hope that for each of you, 2024 is the year that you get to love people, no matter what your job is!
Sacred Table
this month’s recipe for health and happiness!
A Warm Spring Salad
Serves 2
Ingredients:
1 eggplant
handful of small rainbow tomatoes
1/3 oz of toasted pine nuts
3 sun dried tomatoes
10-15 leaves of baby spinach
few leaves of fresh basil
Cut the eggplant and season with salt and pepper and grill on a pan for 5-6 minutes.
Cut the rainbow tomatoes in half and the sun dried tomatoes into small pieces.
Arrange the salad starting with the eggplant. Top with the tomatoes, fresh basil, and spinach.
Drizzle with your favorite salad dressing, or just some olive oil and lemon juice, and sprinkling of toasted pine nuts.
Enjoy!
