Where:
Except for the Sept. 26-28 retreat, the course will take place at New Hope Camp and Conference Center, 4805 Highway 86,
Chapel Hill, NC 27514.
Camp New Hope is just north of Chapel Hill, convenient to Interstate 40.

Meeting times:
The weekend schedule will be:
Fridays: 6-9pm
Saturdays: 7am -8:30 pm
Sundays: 8am –4:30 pm

Lunch and dinner breaks will be 1 hour long.

The full rate for the course is $3000.

If you register and prepay by Aug 5, the special prepaid rate is $2850.



Payment plan options:
Easy Three Payment Plan: Pay in three monthly installments of $945.


  High Five Payment Plan: Pay in five monthly installments of $585.


With both payment plans, a non-refundable registration fee of $300 is due 2 weeks before the beginning of the course.

Keval Kaur KhalsaKeval Kaur Khalsa began studying Kundalini Yoga with HarDarshan Kaur Khalsa in 1999. Awed by the transformative power of this technology, she took a Teacher Training course with HarDarshan and then the Master's Touch Certification Course in New Mexico in the fall of 2002. Keval Kaur is now a Kundalini Research Institute Certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher and has been teaching Kundalini Yoga & Meditation for the past seven years in the Triangle area. At Duke University, she developed and currently teaches a course entitled Kundalini Yoga and Sikh Dharma. Coming to the study and practice of Yoga from a 25-year dance background, Keval Kaur is an Associate Professor in the Dance Program at Duke, Director of the Duke Dance Program, and Co-Artistic Director of the dance company 2 Near The Edge. Keval Kaur is the mother of a 20-year-old son, resides in Durham, and serves on the Board of NC WARN (the North Carolina Waste Awareness and Reduction Network).

a teacher of Kundalini Yoga, Meditation and spiritual awareness for over 30 years. Her wealth of experience bring great joy and wisdom to her teaching. She is the creator and Director of Excel & Celebrate, A Self-empowerment Program for Women.

Krishna Kaur KhalsaKrishna Kaur Khalsa is an experienced
and inspiring yoga and meditation teacher and community leader. A Level 2 KRI Teacher Trainer, Krishna is also IKYTA Training coordinator for Africa
where she teaches twice a year. She
is the president of the International
Association of Black Yoga Teachers
and founder of Y.O.G.A. for Youth.

Harbhajan Singh Khalsa and HarDarshan K. Khalsa, MA

Harbhajan Singh Khalsa and HarDarshan K. Khalsa, MA

Harbhajan has been teaching Kundalini Yoga and Meditation since 1980. His Wednesday night class at Boulder Ashram and Yoga Center has been a tradition since 1993! He is a certified instructor with the Kundalini Research Institute.

HarDarshan Kaur Khalsa has been studying yoga for the past 30 years, including traditional hatha, Iyengar, Insight Meditation, and Bikram. In 1983, she discovered Kundalini Yoga and Meditation and knew that she was "home." In 1985, after the births of her two children, she began teaching Kundalini, and was certified in 1987.
 

 
One of the requirements for KRI certification is the completion of a one day White Tantric Yoga course. There will be two coming up this fall within driving distance of Chapel Hill that we wanted to give you advance notification of. Oct. 4 in Knoxville, TN, and Oct. 25 in Herndon, VA. These dates do not conflict with our teacher training schedule. Go to www.whitetantricyoga.com to find out contact info and more for those courses. There will also be 3 days of White Tantric Yoga at the yearly Winter Solstice celebration in Lake Wales, Florida in December.

 

Teacher Certification Requirements

The KRI Teacher Training team reserves the right to grant KRI Certification bases solely on their discretion and evaluation of each participant's readiness to be a Kundalini Yoga teacher. Evaluation is based on successfully meeting the KRI Teacher Training course requirements including, but not limited to:
• Full payment of course fees.
• Attendance in all 180 hours of classroom instruction plus 40 hours of assigned homework.
• Satisfactory practicum assessment.
• Passing grade on KRI's written examination.
• Current Associate Membership in IKYTA (included in cost of training).
• Completion of 20 Kundalini Yoga classes (during or after completion of Teacher Training).
• Completion of the assigned 40 day yoga set / meditation.
• Participation in 5 morning sadhanas.
• Attendance of one full day at a White Tantric Yoga course.
• Proper representation of the Code of Professional Standards for Kundalini Yoga Teachers.

Aquarian Teacher Level 1: Foundations and Awakening

Master yourself and awaken your potential using the science of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. This Teacher Training Program is for everyone, whether you would like to become a certified teacher or just wish to deepen your personal experience of Kundalini Yoga. This course gives you a lifelong foundation for a successful yoga practice. This certification program provides the tools and comprehensive training to learn both the theory and techniques of Kundalini Yoga. You will gain the knowledge and self-confidence to make a difference in yourself and the world around you. You'll study and practice yoga while still being able to maintain your work schedule and activities.

This program includes Associate membership in the 3HO International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association (IKYTA). You will automatically be upgraded to Full Professional Membership once you have completed the Teacher Training course and have received your KRI Level 1 Certificate. This program also meets the standards for the 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certification set by the Yoga Alliance, a national alliance of diverse yoga organizations. KRI Certification is lead by teams of KRI Teacher Trainers who will help you fine tune your growth and gain a sense of excellence as a Teacher of Kundalini Yoga.
